Five hundred years ago, Peru lay at the heart of a vast empire
that stretched over 400,000 square miles from northwest
Argentina to southern Columbia. A legendary kingdom, this Land
of the Inca came to an untimely end, the victim of colonizing
Spaniards who swept across South America.
For our journey through Peru, we'll return to the ancient lands
of the Children of the Sun, exploring massive ruins, age-old
villages and spellbinding landscapes in the Sacred Valley. The
highlight of our trip is a train ride to mysterious Machu Picchu,
famed Lost City of the Incas.
Previously, we offered Peru as an optional extension to our
acclaimed trip to Ecuador. Peru's popularity has inspired us to
feature Land of the Ancient Inca as one of our new family
vacations. Of course we'll continue to offer this exciting trip
as an extension to Ecuador for families wishing to see even more
of South America!
