1. Arrive Anchorage
Tour begins: Hotel Captain Cook at 6:30 PM. A transfer from
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to Hotel Captain
Cook is included. Please join us this evening for a welcome

2. Anchorage / Fairbanks
Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, then take a short
flight to Fairbanks. See the Alaska pipeline; your hotel is
located along the banks of the Chena River. Meals BD
3. Fairbanks / Optional Barrow Excursion
Try your hand panning for gold on a visit to a gold mine.
Alternatively, take an optional round-trip jet excursion to the
Arctic community of Barrow (additional $490 per person – ask for
details at time of booking). Join us tonight for a salmon bake

4. Chena River / Denali National Park
A paddlewheel boat ride on the Chena River precedes a brief
Fairbanks sightseeing tour. Travel to Denali National Park for a
two-night stay at a hotel close to the entrance. Meals BLD
5. Explore Denali National Park
Discover the natural treasures of Denali, home to moose,
Dall sheep, and grizzly bears, on a full-day tour aboard a
specially-geared bus with narration by a park guide. Meals BD
6. Private Floatplane
A 3-hour adventure by floatplane takes you over the Chugach
Mountains to Prince William Sound and the spectacular glaciers

7. Alyeska Resort – Day at Leisure
Enjoy a day of leisure at your resort in Girdwood;
activities (at an additional charge) include whitewater rafting,
guided wildlife walks, fishing and optional wilderness
adventures such as kayaking, fly-in fishing and bear-watching.

• 8. Rail Journey / Embark Cruise
Ride in a panoramic dome car aboard the great Alaska
Railroad to Seward, on the Kenai Peninsula, for an exclusive
boat cruise through Resurrection Bay. Travel north to Whittier,

• 9. Day at Sea – Prince William Sound
Cruise through College Fjord, a glacier-lover’s paradise
comprised of 16 shimmering glaciers, and Prince William Sound,
one of the best places in Alaska to spot wildlife. Meals BLD
• 10. Glacier Bay Cruising – Day at Sea
Awaken to the incredible sights of Glacier Bay National
Park, from migrating humpback whales to a variety of bird and
animal life. Join us tonight for a cocktail party. Meals BLD
• 11. Skagway / Rafting / Rail Excursion
Tour historic Skagway, then board a ferry for a cruise on
Lynn Canal to Haines. A rafting adventure through the Chilkat
Bald Eagle Preserve provides a chance to view America’s national
emblem in their natural habitat. Board the exciting narrow-gauge
White Pass & Yukon Route for a rail excursion; return to Skagway

• 12. Discover Juneau
Cruise to Juneau, accessible only by air or sea; it’s set on
a narrow strip of land between the Coast Mountains and the
Gastineau Channel within the boundaries of the Tongass National
Forest. Attend a private Tlingit presentation before boarding a
tramcar adorned in colorful Tlingit art for an exhilarating ride

• 13. Ketchikan / Tlingit Village
Dock in Ketchikan this morning. Once the ancestral home of
the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian, the city boasts the world’s
largest totem-pole collection; see local totem carvers at work,
and watch traditional dances. Fishermen may want to take
advantage of a charter boat fishing excursion (additional charge

• 14. Inside Passage Cruising – Day at Sea
Spend the day cruising the Inside Passage. Take an aerobics
class, work out in the state-of-the-art gym, swim, relax in the
sun, or perhaps the whirlpool. Daily entertainment options, as
well as exclusive Tauck special events and a presentation by a

15. Disembark Vancouver / Fly Home
Disembark the ship in Vancouver and go through Canadian Customs
and Immigration. Tour ends: Vancouver Airport at 10:00 AM. Allow
