1. Arrive San Francisco
Tour begins: The Westin San Francisco Market Street at 5:30 PM. Welcome to San Francisco, the City by the Bay. Join us for a welcome reception and dinner this evening. Note: a transfer is not included from the airport to The Westin San Francisco Market Street. Meals D

2. San Francisco / Wine Country
Enjoy a brief morning sightseeing tour of San Francisco, then travel over the majestic Golden Gate Bridge and head north to Napa Valley. A winery tour includes a wine tasting before returning to San Francisco. Meals BL

3. Gold Country / Yosemite
Journey today to the historic California Gold Rush town of Columbia for a private tour featuring costumed interpreters from the era. Travel into the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Yosemite National Park – your home for the next two nights is located right in the heart of the park. Meals BLD

4. Yosemite National Park
The entire day is at your leisure to explore the park’s sights; the park contains five of the seven North America life zones. Your landmark hotel first opened its doors in 1927. Meals B

5. Travel the Beautiful 17-Mile Drive
Drive through the San Joaquin Valley to Merced, then on to the coastal city of Monterey. The Monterey Peninsula is an enclave of magnificent homes, lovely beaches, and the famous Pebble Beach golf course. Travel the 17-Mile Drive through Del Monte Forest to Cypress Point; return to Monterey and the all-suite Hotel Pacific. Meals BLD

6. Historic Monterey, Maritime Gem
Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, featuring 200 exhibits on marine life; the rest of the day is at leisure. Meals B

7. Hearst Castle / Big Sur
Today’s drive along Scenic Pacific Coast Highway 1 is one of the world’s most beautiful drives and includes Big Sur. A walking tour of Hearst Castle at San Simeon reveals the secrets of the grandiose estate of William Randolph Hearst. Your resort tonight overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Meals BLD

8. Santa Barbara / Los Angeles
Travel down the coast to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles; visit the magnificent J. Paul Getty Museum, featuring an extensive collection of celebrated art, sculpture, antiquities, decorative arts, and photographs. Meals BD

9. Train to San Diego
Journey south from Los Angeles to San Juan Capistrano, where you’ll have time to explore this historic mission town, famous for the swallows that arrive each year. Board the Pacific Surfliner this afternoon for a scenic rail journey along the Pacific Coast, traveling through Del Mar, Encinitas, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea to San Diego for a brief tour. Your hotel is set on Mission Island, with spectacular views of San Diego Bay and San Diego. Meals BD

10. Private Zoo Visit
Enjoy a private insider’s tour of the world’s largest zoo, the San Diego Zoo at Balboa Park. Featuring more than 4,000 animals, the zoo is an international animal experience, where guests will see some of earth’s rarest wildlife. Spend the afternoon at your leisure in San Diego, exploring the city’s cultural and historic attractions as you please. 11. Journey Home
Tour ends: San Diego. Fly home anytime. A transfer to San Diego International Airport is included from Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina; checkout time is 12:00 PM. You should allow a minimum of two hours for flight check-in. Meals B
