A WEEK IN SCOTLAND ITINERARY:
1. Arrive Glasgow / Loch Lomond
Tour departs: 10 AM from Glasgow International Airport.
A brief tour of Glasgow precedes arrival at your hotel, an
impressive Scottish baronial manor house set on 100 acres of
green lawns and wooded glades leading down to the shores of
famed Loch Lomond. Join us tonight for a welcome cocktail
reception and dinner. Meals LD
2. Stirling Castle / Glenturret Distillery
Visit Stirling Castle, a majestic example of Scottish
Renaissance architecture; the town developed around the castle.
Scotland’s oldest single Highland malt distillery lies in the
heart of Perthshire – a private tour of Glenturret Distillery
takes you behind-the-scenes to witness the art of whisky-making,
complete with a tasting. Journey into the Trossachs, known as
Rob Roy country, through a ruggedly forested region past
Aberfoyle, and return to the hotel for an evening at your

3. Scottish Highlands
Journey into the Scottish Highlands through moors, lochs,
forests, and craggy mountains. From Fort William to Loch Ness,
journey along a natural fault line called the Great Glen that
divides Scotland in half. Arrive in scenic Inverness; Scottish
entertainment this evening features bagpipes and Highland
dancers. Meals BLD
4. Inverness / Inverewe Gardens
Spend the day as you please, perhaps playing a round of
golf, doing some sightseeing in Inverness, or joining us for an
excursion to lovely Inverewe Gardens where you’ll have a
privately guided tour, frequently given by the head gardener, to
view special collections of plants from around the globe. Back
in Inverness, tonight you’ll learn about the history of the
Scottish kilt and tartans. Meals BLD
5. Visit 16th-Century Blair Castle
From Inverness, travel Tauck’s Yellow Roads through the
Cairngorm Mountains and the Grampian Mountains to Blair Atholl,
home to Blair Castle. The famed white castle, beneath forested
slopes above the River Garry, contains over 30 rooms featuring
some unique relics depicting 16th-century Highland life. Head
south to Edinburgh, arriving late afternoon; your hotel is in
the heart of the city. Meals BD
6. Explore Edinburgh
Sightsee Edinburgh on a privately guided tour with a local
expert. Visit 11th-century Edinburgh Castle, displaying the
Stone of Scone, on which most Scottish kings were crowned.
You’ll also visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where Mary Queen
of Scots spent 16 years; it is the Queen’s official residence in
Edinburgh (subject to closure). Tours departing July 26 – August
16 attend an evening outdoor performance of the Edinburgh
Military Tattoo, performed by Scottish military units against
the magical backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Meals B
7. Edinburgh / St. Andrews
Today is free to spend either in Edinburgh, or to join us
for a day at legendary St. Andrews. The seaside town, as home to
the famed golf course, has hosted some of the greatest names in
the history of golf; spend time at leisure exploring the town of
St. Andrews. Join us this evening for a farewell dinner in
Edinburgh. Meals BD
8. Journey Home
Tour Ends: Glasgow International Airport 2 1/2 hours before
the departure of our selected flight(s). Persons departing at
other times should secure their own transportation to the
