1. Arrive Rome
Tour begins: 6:00 PM, Hotel Majestic. A transfer is included
from Rome Leonardo
da Vinci Airport in Fiumicino to Hotel Majestic in the eternal
city of Rome. Please join us for a welcome cocktail

2. Private Vatican Visit
Take a walking tour of Rome, followed by free time. Join us

3. Rome as you Please
Sightseeing in glorious Rome includes the Roman Forum and
visits to such timeless sites as the Colosseum, St. Peter’s
Basilica and St. Peter’s Square. The rest of the day is free to

4. Country Life in Umbria
Travel from Rome through Lazio and Umbria to the town of
Orvieto; have lunch at a trattoria; and see one of Italy’s
greatest cathedrals. Spend the next two nights in Umbria’s
capital of Perugia, at a landmark, five-star luxury hotel in the

5. Assisi / Umbria / Perugia
The medieval hill town of Assisi is heir to the legacy of
its most famous son, St. Francis. Visit Basilica di San
Francesco, the church where the beloved saint is buried; a local
expert shares insights about its famed 13th- and 14th-century
frescoes on a guided tour. Attend a wine tasting and lunch at
the osteria of a famed winery before returning to Perugia to

6. Siena / Tuscany / Florence
See the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany en route to Siena;
tour the Duomo and see the Piazza del Campo – twice a year, the
running of the Palio occurs here. Continue on to Florence for a
two-night stay. Join us for a visit to the Galleria
dell’Accademia, home of Michelangelo’s David; enjoy a lecture

7. Renaissance Treasures
A guided walking tour of landmark sites in Florence precedes
a tour of the Uffizi
Gallery with a local expert; see some of the world’s greatest
art masterpieces up

8. Journey Home
Tour ends: Florence. Fly home anytime. A transfer is
included from Plaza Hotel
