1. Arrive Montreal
Tour begins: 6:00 PM, Delta Centre-Ville. Welcome to the
quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island
in the St. Lawrence River. Please join us tonight for a welcome

2. Montreal / Rail Journey
A sightseeing tour of Montreal includes St. Joseph’s
Oratory, McGill University, Olympic Park and Notre Dame
Cathedral. Spend some time at leisure before boarding the
Chaleur, destined for the Gaspé Peninsula. Sleep to the rhythm
of the rails as the Chaleur winds its way toward scenic Percé at
the peninsula’s tip. Meals BLD
3. Bonaventure Island / Percé
Today’s adventure is both by land and by sea. Enjoy the
passing seascapes from the comfort of your train berth or the
domed observation lounge before arriving in the village of Percé.
Cruise around Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island; this natural
bird sanctuary is home to over 80,000 gannets. Spend the
afternoon exploring as you please in this charming seaside

4. Forillon National Park
Visit lovely Forillon National Park – a brief stop at
Hyman’s General Store (seasonal) inspires memories of days gone
by. Following lunch in Grande Vallée, travel through quaint
fishing villages. Overnight in the fishing village of Matane;
dine this evening overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Meals BLD
5. Métis Gardens / St. Lawrence
The beauty of Métis Gardens, a colorful 40-acre estate
garden featuring over 1,000 varieties of indigenous and exotic
plants, inspires you on a visit today. Cruise across the St.
Lawrence Seaway, home to the playful White Beluga, and on to
Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in Pointe-au-Pic, a great example
of 19th-century French-style architecture. Enjoy the attractive
grounds and pleasing view of the river, or try your hand at the

6. Charlevoix Region
Traveling through the Charlevoix region of Quebec, visit the
picturesque town of Baie-Saint-Paul, featuring 19th-century
Quebecoise dwellings, and the renowned Shrine of Ste. Anne de
Beaupré. Arrive in Quebec’s historic capital city, the crossroad
between Europe and North America. Spend two nights at Fairmont
Le Château Frontenac, perched high above the St. Lawrence River
in the heart of Old Quebec City. Meals BD
7. Explore Quebec City
Discover Old Quebec – the western hemisphere’s only walled city
north of Mexico – on a sightseeing tour this morning; see the
Plains of Abraham, the Provincial Parliament Buildings, Porte
St-Louis and Place Royale. The remainder of the day is spent at
your leisure exploring the city, whose ancient stone houses
evoke memories of 18th-century Europe. Join us this evening for

8. Montreal / Journey Home
From Quebec, return by motor coach to Montreal
(approximately 168 miles). Tour ends: Montreal-Pierre Elliott
Trudeau International Airport at 12:00 PM. Allow a minimum of
