              PRELUDE TO CHRISTMAS
7 DAY CALGARY, JASPER & BANFF - PRELUDE TO CHRISTMAS ITINERARY:

DAY 1, Sunday - Arrival in Calgary and Welcome Dinner
Arrive in Calgary and transfer independently to the hotel. This evening, meet your group for a welcome dinner.  Overnight: Calgary   Meals: Dinner

DAY 2, Monday - To Lake Louise/Jasper
Drive to the world-famous Lake Louise, which is fed by the Victoria Glacier and surrounded by towering mountain peaks. Enjoy lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Following lunch, travel the Icefield Parkway, crossing Bow Summit and Sunwapta Pass, en route to Jasper National Park. Enjoy a prelude to the inspirational treasures you will experience during your stay at this evening's stand-up dinner reception.  Overnight: Jasper    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Reception

DAY 3 & 4, Tuesday & Wednesday - Jasper
Over the next two-and-a-half days, you will find yourself immersed in a range of festive activities. Enjoy holiday cuisine as presented by celebrated chefs, learn about a variety of wines and how to pair them with fine foods, and observe the methods of talented florists and craft designers as they create an array of holiday decorations. These experts will guide you to your most creative and special holiday season ever, and maybe even inspire you to re-discover past traditions or plunge into a new medium. You might especially enjoy collecting some of the chefs' own recipes for future use! Other activities include a private horse-drawn wagon ride to visit the Lodge's outlying cabins, many of which have been decorated for the season by the visiting designers. Coupled with the Lodge's first-class spa facility, it is host to a variety of shops offering special holiday gifts which are perfect for your family and friends

DAY 5, Thursday - To Banff
Following brunch, return south along the Parkway to Banff National Park, nestled in the lovely Bow Valley. Your home for one night is in the castle-like Banff Springs Hotel, which opened in 1887. Banff National Park, which is Canada's first national park, spanning some 2,654 square miles, is part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. The region is home to a vast variety of wildlife including elk, bighorn sheep, caribou, and black and brown bear who occupy the many valleys, meadows and forests of the park.  Overnight: Banff    Meals: Breakfast

DAY 6, Friday - Tours of Banff & Calgary
This morning, enjoy a tour of Banff before continuing back to Calgary. Upon arrival, see downtown Calgary through a panoramic tour. Tonight, say goodbye to your fellow travelers at your farewell dinner.  Overnight: Calgary   Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 7, Saturday - Return Home
After breakfast, transfer independently to the Calgary airport for your return flight home.  Meals: Breakfast
