of Old and New Delhi. We begin with a tour of Old Delhi, an
ancient historical city with more than 60,000 identifiable
monuments. Visit the Red Fort, considered one of the most
magnificent palaces in the world. India's history is closely
linked with the fort, as it was where the British deposed the
last Mughal ruler, Bahadur Shah Zafar, marking the end of the
three-centuries-long Mughal reign. We then visit Jama Masjid
Mosque, the largest mosque in India, as well as Raj Ghat, the
Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. After lunch at a local restaurant,
we'll continue on a tour of New Delhi and visit the UNESCO World
Heritage Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, as well
as the 13th-century Mausoleum of Humayun. We'll conclude with a
panoramic drive past the famous India Gate, built to commemorate

House, and the Indian Parliament. This evening, enjoy a Welcome

world-famous Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jehan as a
mausoleum for his beloved Queen Mumtaj Mahal, this monumental
construction, which took 22 years to complete (1631-53), is most
famous for its imposing white-marble dome, and is considered the
finest example of Mughal architecture in the world. We'll then
attend a workshop on the art of Marble Inlay. Under the
direction of an experienced craftsmen, we'll see firsthand how
semi-precious stones are embedded in marble to create pleasing
geometric and floral patterns, similar to those seen in the Taj
Mahal. Marble artifacts painted with attractive designs are yet
another form of marble ware seen in the markets of Agra. Dinner

impressive in India. We then continue our journey to Jaipur, the
famed Pink City of India. The entire city was painted its unique
pink color in 1876 to celebrate the visiting Prince of Wales.
Several legends exist to explain why the color pink was chosen,
but no matter the reason, it has come to represent the welcoming
