ITINERARY:
Day 1: Singapore
Arrive Singapore for two nights at the Raffles Hotel
(Courtyard Suite).
Day 2; Singapore
Enjoy the sights of this vibrant city, home to stunning
contemporary buildings, and old colonial houses.A traditional
“Tiffin dinner” at Raffles is included.
Days 3 & 4: Eastern & Oriental Express
Board the Eastern & Oriental Express (Pullman Superior) for
the two-night journey to Bangkok. Stops are made en route to
visit the capital of Penang Island (Georgetown) and the River
Kwai. All meals are included on the train.
Days 5 & 6: Bangkok
Arrive this afternoon in Bangkok for two nights at The
Oriental (Superior River Wing). Soaring temples and glittering
rooftops await you in Thailand’s capital city.The Grand Palace—a
visit is included—Jim Thompson’s Thai House, the klongs and the
colourful nightlife are just some of the attractions.
Days 7 & 8: Yangon
Morning flight to Yangon with Bangkok Airways International,
for two nights at The Governor’s Residence (Governor’s Room). In
the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the capital of
Myanmar.Yangon is now an eclectic mix of old colonial buildings,
new office complexes and, towering over all, the fabled
Shwedagon Pagoda.
Days 9, 10 & 11: Road To Mandalay
Air Mandalay flight to Mandalay to join the Road To Mandalay
for three nights (‘A’ Deck Superior Cabin).
Day 12: Departure
Leave the ship early this morning and return to Yangon, and
your onward flight to Bangkok.
