YOUR JOURNEY
Enjoy the glorious profusion of vibrant colour at the height of
summer, within one of Britain’s finest national parks; the
craggy fells and tranquil lakes alive with natural beauty. Visit
dramatic Hawkeshead and Grasmere and envelop yourself in the
stunning surroundings as you cruise on one of the many lakes in
the country.
A four course lunch accompanied by a glass of champagne and half
a bottle of wine is served on board Northern Belle on the
outward journey.
Guests staying at The Frayer country House Hotel:
On arrival at Oxenholme station you will be transferred by coach
to your hotel near Bowness on Windermere. Table d’hôte dinner is
included on Saturday evening. On Sunday there is a half day
guided tour through some of the Lake District’s most picturesque
villages ending at Bowness on Windermere where you are free to
explore the many galleries, craft shops and shopping area and
enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England
(voucher provided). The coach returns you to the hotel later
that afternoon. Table d’hôte dinner is provided at the hotel. On
Monday transfer to Oxenholme station to rejoin the Northern
Belle for your return journey.
Guests staying at the Sharrow Bay hotel:
On arrival at Penrith station you will be transferred by coach
to your hotel near the village of Pooley Bridge. Relax and enjoy
the facilities of the hotel and the six-course table d’hôte
dinner in the evening. On Sunday there is a half day guided tour
through some of the Lake District’s most picturesque villages
ending at Bowness on Windermere where you are free to explore
the many galleries, craft shops and shopping area. Rejoin to
coach to travel to Ullswater for a leisurely cruise on the
Ullswater steam boat before returning to the hotel. Six course
table d’hôte dinner is provided at the hotel. On Monday transfer
to Penrith station to rejoin the Northern Belle for your return
journey.

jeans or trainers whilst on the train
