ITINERARY:
Days 1 & 2: The Governor's Residence, Yangon, Myanmar
Arrive in Yangon for two nights at The Governor’s Residence
(Governor’s Room). A city tour is included on Monday afternoon.
Day 3: Road To Mandalay
Fly to Mandalay and join Road To Mandalay. After lunch enjoy
a sightseeing tour of the temples and markets of Mandalay.
Dinner and first night on board.
Day 4: Road To Mandalay
Visit a local village to discover the Burmese way of life.
Sail for Bagan and watch the river scenes of everyday existence
along this mighty waterway.
Day 5: Road To Mandalay - Bagan
Disembark in Bagan for an orientation tour. After lunch on
board, continue the tour or explore independently, then a sunset
tour of this remarkable, unforgettable region.
Day 6: Road To Mandalay - Mount Popa
Visit Mount Popa, home to the legendary Nats (spirit gods),
where there is a picturesque complex of monasteries and shrines.
Lunch at a nearby hotel with beautiful, panoramic views.
Day 7: Road To Mandalay - Balloon Flight or Explore Mandalay
Relax on board, optional balloon flight or explore the
market and craft shops. Late morning departure for Mandalay.
Day 8: Road To Mandalay - Sagaing
Arrive after lunch and enjoy a visit to Sagaing, the living
centre of the Buddhist faith and famous for its silversmiths.
Day 9: Road To Mandalay - Maymyo
Visit Maymyo, the summer capital of colonial Burma, with its
botanical gardens and colonial style houses. Enjoy a typical
Shan lunch at a local colonial house.
Day 10: Departure
Morning departure by air to Yangon.
