There are some places that have to be discovered by sea, and
this incomparable coastline is one of them. Actually, it’s more
than just a coastline; it’s the sun-gilded Dalmatian Coast
combined with the classic Greek islands and a little taste of
Athens. It’s three different countries connected through ancient
trade routes.
We visit Kotor and Dubrovnik – the jewel in the crown of the
Dalmatian Coast, and the town everyone’s talking about – then
explore Greek antiquity on Corfu and Kephalonia.
Along the way, we bike or walk – or both – daily, which means
this isn’t your everyday cruise. Our small luxury ship tiptoes
into tiny harbours and hidden archipelagos where cruise ships
can’t, and she’s ours to do as we please – stop for a swim, wait
while we finish dinner ashore, pop round to the other side of an
island to pick us up after a bike ride through ancient olive
groves and hilltop villages. Next stop? Sunset cocktails on the
aft deck.
