DOLOMITES WALKING ITINERARY
Trip Length: 6 days/5 nights
Start/Finish: Bolzano/Venice Compared to the rest of
Italy, the Dolomites region is virtually untouristed. The reason
for this completely escapes us. After all, this stunning section
of the Italian Alps is the summer escape for Italians in the
know.
Here, mountain hikes are rewarded with breathtaking views, an
empty stomach is rewarded with extravagant spreads that combine
the best of Italian and Austrian cuisine – with the Michelin
stars to prove it – and the romantic in us is rewarded with
nights under the stars at 6,000 feet.
Trip Highlights:
- Hike to the top of the Bec de Roches for 360-degree
views of the Austrian Alps and the Marmolada (the “Queen of
the Dolomites”)
- Enjoy a demonstration of music played on “la lingua del
diavolo” (the devil’s tongue)
- Follow our Ladin mountain guide on the Cinque Torri,
where traces of WWI battlelines can still be found
- Indulge in an afternoon of spa luxury or take cooking
lessons from celebrated Chef Norbert at the Rosa Alpina

Accommodations:
La Perla, Corvara
This property is a B&R favourite. Run by Signor Costa, his
wife and their three sons, it weds the characteristics and
façade of an Austrian hotel with the warmth of Italy. Signora
Costa’s personal touches enhance every room.
Rosa Alpina, San Cassiano
Relais & Châteaux
Rosa Alpina has earned its Relais & Châteaux and Michelin
accolades, but what we love most about this understated retreat
is its warm hospitality. Hugo Pizzinini welcomes us to the
family as soon as we cross the threshold, while Chef Norbert
invites us into his kitchen as he prepares dinner.
