Taking the kids to the Gulf Islands is like turning them loose

bike paths or lightly travelled roads – to ensure both safety
and maximum access to wildlife. Guided excursions with expert
naturalists will put your kids on intimate terms with all manner
of local fauna, including orca whales, the gentle giants of the
deep.

This cozy ten-room property has a relaxed atmosphere and
features a big beach and lawn area for tide pool exploration.
Recent renovations added a spa and restaurant to its list of
amenities. Every room is tastefully decorated to include a
working stone fireplace and boasts a wonderful view out over
Sturdies Bay.
Sooke Harbour House, Sooke
The Harbour House is a great experience in both lodging and
food. It has won a number of awards over the years and has been
honoured as one of the 20 Best Inns in the World. The waterfront
gardens are a great place to relax and enjoy a West Coast
sunset. In the kitchen, Chef Edward Tuson works culinary magic
with local, seasonal ingredients.
