The Loire Valley, around which so much of French history is
entwined, is a UNESCO protected area and one of Europe’s most
fascinating regions to explore by balloon. Nowhere in the world
is there a greater collection of chateaux. More than 1000 large
country estates, manor houses, palaces and feudal castles,
relics of royal days gone by, await us. These architectural
treasures rise from the midst of intricate patterns formed by
extensive vineyards, farmlands, meadows and ancient woods.
Accenting the great beauty of this striking setting are broad,
meandering rivers, the Loire, the Cher, the Indre and the Vienne.
Our balloon adventures take place during the last hours of
daylight, landing at twilight, adding further to the romance of
our adventures.
