Back to A&K Central & Eastern Europe - Menu Page
Once one of the largest imperial empires in history, “Osmanh” at the height of its power included Anatolia and parts of the Middle East, Europe and North Africa. Istanbul, the former Constantinople, served as imperial capital for 1,700 years.

The second Ottoman capital, Edirne, is a fabulous town packed with architectural masterpieces and riches including the Selimiye Mosque — considered to be one of the supreme human achievements in the history of the world, and worth travelling the globe to see only for this one creation.

Istanbul and Edirne are just two of many great sites featured on this extraordinary journey through Turkey’s Classical and Ottoman past. Visit the ancient Greco-Roman city of Aspendos to explore the ruins of The Greek theatre, the world’s best-preserved antique theater and the ancient Ionian sites of Didyma.

Join fellow Marco Polo members on this indepth, unique passage through time where doors to museums and historical sites open privately just for you. From a catered dinner at Ephesus (complete with music by the Izmir Symphony) to the Underwater Archaeology Museum in Bodrum, incomparable views of the turquoise Mediterranean, to an optional extension to lunar landscapes of Cappadocia — “Ottoman Turkey” invokes thought-provoking exploration, and pampered nights in “palaces” fit for a Sultan.
