FIRE & ICE ITINERARY:

DAY 1: USA or Canada / Santiago, Chile
Depart by overnight flight to Chile’s capital, which is surrounded by a ring of spectacular mountain peaks.

DAY 2: Santiago
After an early arrival, transfer to your hotel. Later, visit the Pre-Columbian Art Museum for a private tour led by a curator. This evening gather for a special welcome dinner. Hotel Ritz-Carlton B D

DAY 3: Santiago / Atacama Desert
Fly to Calama and transfer to your desert lodge. There’s time to relax before
attending a briefi ng that explains your activity choices for the next few days. Explora en Atacama Lodge B L D

DAYS 4–6: Atacama Desert
Spend three full days discovering the Atacama Desert, accompanied by  specialized guides. Explore Atacama’s natural environment or the sites of pre- Columbian, colonial and contemporary cultures. Explora en Atacama Lodge B L D

DAY 7: Atacama Desert / Santiago / Mendoza
Transfer back to Santiago to connect with your international fl ight to Mendoza, the
center of Argentina’s wine industry. On arrival, your guide escorts you to the Cavas

DAY 8: Mendoza
Tour the Catena Zapata and Vistalba Wineries. After lunch at La Bourgogne
your afternoon is at leisure. Dinner tonight is at the renowned Restaurante 1884
on the grounds of the historic Bodegas Escorihuela Gascon.  Cavas Wine Lodge B L D

DAY 9: Mendoza / Buenos Aires / El Calafate
Transfer to Buenos Aires to connect to El Calafate and continue to your hotel. Los Notros B D

DAY 10: El Calafate
Visit Perito Moreno, considered by many to be the world’s most beautiful glacier, for a scenic and comfortable two-hour glacier trek. Los Notros B L D

DAY 11: El Calafate
Board the Upsala Explorer for a two-hour cruise on Lago Argentino to the Onelli and Upsala Glaciers. Proceed to Estancia Cristina, where your hosts serve a barbecue lunch. This afternoon visit Swan Lake before returning to La Cristina for tea. Later, return to Puerto Bandera by boat and transfer back to your hotel. Los Notros B L D

DAY 12: El Calafate / Buenos Aires
Travel to Buenos Aires today. The afternoon is at leisure followed by a tango and dinner show at one of the city’s most elegant venues. Palacio Duhau -- Park Hyatt Buenos Aires B D

DAY 13: Buenos Aires
Tour an Argentinean farm for a barbecue lunch. Palacio Duhau -- Park Hyatt Buenos Aires B L

DAY 14: Buenos Aires / USA or Canada
Enjoy the sights of Buenos Aires including a behind-the-scenes visit to the Teatro Colón Opera House before lunch in Puerto Madero. This evening board your international flight.  Palacio Duhau -- Park Hyatt Buenos Aires (dayroom) B L

DAY 15: USA or Canada
Arrive in the USA or Canada and connect to your homebound flight.
