Sightseeing today includes visits to the Botataung Pagoda, the

DAY 13: Yangon / Bagan / Yangon
A very early morning flight brings you to Bagan, the
11th-century capital of the country and one of Asia’s most
extraordinary travel experiences. Its fl at plain is dotted with
the remains of 2,000 pagodas, temples and stupas. Visit the
Nyaung Oo local market, the Shwezigon Pagoda and the Kubyaukgyi
Temple in the little village of Wetkyi-In. After lunch, stops
include the Htilominlo Temple and a local lacquerware workshop.
Then travel by horse cart to Ananda Temple, built in 1090 AD and
the best preserved temple in Bagan. An evening fl ight returns

Fly to Chiang Mai, visiting the impressive Wat Doi Suthep

hill tribe village and the other with a private mahout and his
