DAY 1: USA or Canada/Hong Kong
Board your overnight flight to Hong Kong.

DAY 2: Hong Kong

DAY 3: Hong Kong
Visit the busy Sheung Wan Market, then take a tram ride to Victoria Peak. Later, travel by motorized sampan through Aberdeen, stopping for a dim sum lunch. Tonight, join your fellow travellers over cocktails and dinner. Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong B L D

DAY 4: Hong Kong/Kunming/Lijiang
Fly to Lijiang for an afternoon walking tour of its Old Town. Grand Lijiang Hotel B

DAY 5: Lijiang
Today's explorations include two picturesque Naxi villages: Baisha and Longquan. Continue to Heilongtan (Black Dragon Pool) Park, home to the Dongha Research Institute Museum. This evening, attend a performance of traditional Naxi and Chinese music. Grand Lijiang Hotel B L

DAY 6: Lijiang/Zhongdian
Driving north along the great Yunnan/Tibet Highway, stop at the charming village of Shigu (Stone Drum), which sits above the historic "First Bend in the Yangzi River." Also view the stunning Tiger Leaping Gorge, cutting across the mighty Yangzi River. Gyalthang Dzong Hotel B L D

DAYS 7-8: Zhongdian
Spend two full days in awe-inspiring Yunnan. Visit the Songzangling Monastery, the village of Ringha and stroll the Old Town and Central Market. Travel north through the Napa Hai Forest Reserve, Penzira and Gongzhou. Gyalthang Dzong Hotel B L D

DAY 9: Zhongdian/Kunming/Hanoi, Vietnam

DAY 10: Hanoi/Ha Long Bay/Hanoi
Weather permitting, fly by helicopter to scenic Ha Long, the "Bay of the Descending Dragon," for a cruise through grottoes and islands. Hotel Sofitel Metropole B L

DAY 11: Hanoi
Today, visit the essential sights of Hanoi: Ho Chi Minh's house, One-Pillared Pagoda, Quanh Tanh Temple and the Fine Arts Museum. Stroll the halls and gardens of the Confucian Temple of Literature. Hotel Sofitel Metropole B L

DAY 12: Hanoi/Hue
Fly to Hue to visit the Imperial Citadel and the lavish Tu Duc or Khai Dinh mausoleum.

DAY 13: Hue/Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Vietnam's southern capital Ho Chi Minh City in time for an afternoon visit to the 19th-century Thien Hau Pagoda and Cholon's colorful Chinatown. Sheraton Saigon B

DAY 14: Ho Chi Minh City
Travel to the tunnel network at Cu Chi. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to the city to tour the Presidential Palace with a stop at Notre Dame Cathedral. This evening, join fellow travellers over cocktails and dinner. Sheraton Saigon B L D
