DAY 1: Aurangabad
Arrive in Aurangabad, located in the heart of the state of
Maharashtra where on arrival, you are met and transferred to

DAY 2: Ajanta Caves
Enjoy a full-day visit to the Ajanta Caves, where 24
monasteries and fi ve temples, embedded in rock in a
horseshoe-shaped gorge, contain the fi nest Buddhist mural art
and sculpture in the world. These caves are older than those at
Ellora, dating back to 200 BC - AD 650. The walls tell the
life-story of Buddha as well as mirror the culture of that

DAY 3: Ellora Caves/Aurangabad/Depart
This morning you visit the Ellora Caves. The caves consist
of temples and monasteries hewn from rock by Buddhist, Hindu,
and Jain monks and craftsmen and depict the evolution of these
three religions. More than 2,000 years old, they have been
compared to the Pyramids for their amazing constructions,
sculptures and frescoes. There are 34 caves in all, created from
the volcanic lava deposits of the Deccan region. Your day
concludes when you arrive at the airport or rail station for
your onward journey. B
