NORMANDY EXTENSION ITINERARY:
DAY 1: Paris/Giverny/Port-en-Bessin
Depart Paris for Normandy, stopping en route to visit
Monet's house and the gardens at Giverny. After some time at
leisure for lunch, continue to Port-en-Bessin and your château
hotel. Château La Chenevière
DAY 2: Port-en-Bessin/Normandy Beaches/Port-en-Bessin
Depart for a full-day excursion through the countryside to
the town of Arromanches - the heart of the area where the
Normandy landings took place on D-Day. Later, visit the American
sector of the D-Day invasion: Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and the
American Cemetery at St. Laurent. Château La Chenevière B
DAY 3: Port-en-Bessin/Bayeux/Rouen/Paris
This morning drive to Bayeux to see the famous tapestry
commemorating the Norman invasion of England in 1066 and the
lovely 11th-century cathedral. Travel to Rouen and visit the
Cathedral of Notre Dame, featured in a series of paintings by
Claude Monet and where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake.
Continue to Paris and your elegant hotel located near the Opéra

DAY 4: Depart Paris
After breakfast, depart Paris or continue on your journey. B
