DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Paris, France
Depart on an overnight flight to Paris and on arrival
transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure before
meeting fellow travelers for dinner this evening.

DAY 3: Paris
Spend the day exploring the highlights of the "City of
Light," including the extraordinary Louvre Museum.

DAY 4: Paris/Chartres/Versailles/Paris
Depart for Chartres to see its glorious cathedral, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. Continue to Versailles for a visit to the
state apartments of King Louis XIV's opulent palace. Return to

DAY 5: Paris/Loire Valley
Board a high-speed TGV train to Tours and travel to Château
Azay-le-Rideau for a first glimpse of one of the area's most
famous and beautiful castles. Continue to your château hotel

DAY 6: Loire Valley
Drive along the bank of the Loire River past grand castles,
including Amboise and Blois, to Cheverny - renowned for
magnifificent interior rooms and its collection of furniture,
tapestries and objets d'art. Finish the day with a visit to the

DAY 7: Loire Valley/Burgundy/Dijon
Drive through the heart of France into Burgundy, stopping
for lunch in lovely Chablis and a visit to the medieval village

DAY 8: Dijon/Beaune/Dijon
Explore Dijon's old town this morning. Later, drive along
the famous Route des Grands Crus (Wine Road) to Beaune where,
after lunch, you visit the 15thcentury hospice Hôtel-Dieu.
Later, join in a wine tasting before returning to Dijon. Sofitel

DAY 9: Dijon/Vézelay/Dijon
Follow in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims to the "sacred
hill" of Vézelay to visit the Basilica of Ste-Madeleine. Later,
return to Dijon for a gourmet farewell dinner at a local

DAY 10: Dijon/Paris
Travel by high-speed TGV back to Paris and stop at the Petit
Palais. After lunch, your afternoon is at leisure or join a
specialist local guide to explore the Musée d'Orsay. Tonight

DAY 11: Paris/USA or Canada
Board your homebound flight. B
