DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Moscow,
Russia
Fly overnight to Moscow and transfer to your luxurious
city-center hotel. The afternoon is at leisure before tonight's

DAY 3: Moscow
Walk through Red Square and visit Lenin's mausoleum, where the
embalmed body of the fi rst Soviet leader is on public display,
and continue to St. Basil's Cathedral. The rest of the day is at

DAY 4: Moscow
Admire the best collection of Russian art at the Tretyakov
Gallery and then visit the Kolomeneskoye Estate, the former
summer residence of the czars, for an afternoon of games, dance
and song and a snack of tea and pancakes. Dine à la carte at

DAY 5: Moscow/St. Petersburg
Visit the Kremlin's famous Armory collection of regalia from the
Imperial era, with items owned by Ivan the Terrible and Peter
the Great. After lunch, visit Izmaylovo's open-air souvenir and
handicraft market and paint your own matrioshka doll. This
evening, board the Grand Express deluxe overnight train to St.

DAY 6: St. Petersburg
Visit dazzling St. Isaac's Cathedral, whose dome is covered with
pure gold leaf, and the St. Peter and Paul Fortress, used as one
of the most terrifying prisons of Czarist Russia. After lunch
stop in at the opulent Yusupov Palace, the scene of the murder
of Grigory "Mad Monk" Rasputin. Dine à la carte in one of A&K's

DAY 7: St. Petersburg/Petrodvorets/ St. Petersburg
Explore opulent Petrodvorets, the summer palace of Peter the
Great. Continue to Shuvalovka, a traditional Russian village,
and discover the traditions and crafts of Old Russia. Grand

DAY 8: St. Petersburg
View the Hermitage Museum's art collection in the lavish Winter
Palace. After lunch visit Peter the Great's fi rst residence.
Next, explore the 19th-century battleship 'Aurora,' whose blank
shot in 1917 signaled the attack on the Winter Palace and the
beginning of the Russian Revolution. Cruise the Neva River for a
farewell dinner and a delightful way to take in the beauty of

DAY 9: St. Petersburg/Pushkin/ St. Petersburg
Travel to Pushkin and the grand Catherine's Palace followed by
lunch in a traditional Russian izba. Your afternoon is at
leisure before gathering for farewell drinks this evening to
