Situated in the Pisa province, Villa La Tenuta is perfectly placed for exploring the nearby attractions that Pisa, Florence and Siena have to offer. On a fertile alluvial plain, this area is extremely beautiful and characterized by generous amounts of foliage, typically olive groves and wooded areas as well as a large number of vineyards that produce delicious local wine.

Nearby Pisa plays a main role from an artistic point of view, with such important monuments as the Campo dei Miracoli (Piazza Duomo), a perfect example of Romanesque-Pisan art. In the square stands the world famous Leaning Tower, on which building began in 1173. There is plenty of opportunity to observe the local pottery and glass being made and there are often art exhibitions which offer the perfect opportunity for some souvenir shopping. World famous for its cuisine, Italy serves up another delight with Pisa offering an eclectic mix of restaurants to satisfy any palate.

With Florence just over an hour's drive away, a day-trip to Italy's 'capital of art' is a must for any guest of Villa La Tenuta. See Michelangelo's David in the academia art gallery, enjoy a visit to the world famous Uffizi Museum, and stroll through the Piazza Signoria with its impressive medieval buildings.
