There’s a certain style inherent to a villa vacation. It’s a holiday that appeals to people who want the privacy of their own “home,” and the freedom to relax, just as they wish, in peace and quiet. It offers an opportunity to enjoy neighboring attractions just as the local people do…or to explore no further than the hammock at the bottom of the garden. When you choose a holiday villa, you want all of these good things — and an assurance that the location, standards and condition of your temporary home will add to (rather than subtract from) your enjoyment. Every villa in this brochure has been inspected and approved by our own A&K experts. Each is graded as either a “Concierge Villa” or “Sanctuary Villa” based on factors such as location, size, amenities, cost and services provided. These categories, assigned by A&K’s own experienced and discerning staff, are designed to offer you guidance in identifying properties that match your personal criteria.

♦ Concierge Villas
You needn't spend precious vacation time finding the best local bistro, beach or babysitter...doing your own laundry or wondering where to buy a dozen eggs...simply call on your house staff. With A&K, you have the services you'd expect from the Concierge of a five-star luxury hotel, but in the comfort and privacy of your own exclusive villa.

• All villas selected for this category are of luxury level.
• On arrival you are met at the airport and assisted with your pre-arranged optional transfer or car rental.
• Concierge House Manager is on hand to answer your questions and reserve additional services on your behalf. If you would like a personal orientation of the local town, a restaurant reservation or a tee time — your Concierge House Manager can help.
• The price of your villa also includes a three-course welcome dinner with wine served on the evening of your arrival and a light lunch on the afternoon of your first full day in residence, allowing you to fully relax after your journey. Each morning you are served a continental breakfast at your leisure.
• A personal cook is provided six days per week. These culinary professionals shop for your food (at an additional cost) and prepare your requested meals during your stay as required.
• All villas offer daily maid and laundry service, as well as daily pool and garden maintenance.
• Optional airport transfers and luxury car rental may be arranged on request.

♦ Sanctuary Villas
These villas are situated in picturesque corners of Chianti, near delightful medieval villages where you may stock up on the local wine, olive oil or cheese. A&K's unique "Pop-In" is your friend in the know and provides efficient, unobtrusive service and support throughout your stay.

• On arrival in Italy you are met at the airport and assisted with your rental car or optional transfer.
• Prior to your arrival, your villa is supplied with a selection of welcome drinks, the necessary ingredients to easily prepare your first evening's supper and a starter pack of toiletries, saving you that rushed visit to the local supermarket before it closes.
• A continental breakfast is delivered to your villa each morning.
• Maid service, pool and garden maintenance.
• For any further assistance you may require, your personal Pop-In is as close as a phonecall away.

♦ Sanctuary Villas
Independent travel offers a private alternative to popular group programs.
