DAY 1-2: USA or Canada/Munich, Germany

DAY 3: Munich
Discover Munich's Church of Our Lady, the Marienplatz and the Church of the Asam Brothers. After lunch, Design Your Day: visit Nymphenburg Palace or Dachau, the first Nazi concentration camp. Hotel Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten B L

DAY 4: Munich/Oberammergau/Bavarian Castles/Munich
Travel to Oberammergau, then go on to see King Ludwig II's fanciful, neo-romantic Neuschwanstein Castle and the ornate Castle Linderhof, the king's favorite. Dine à la carte at your choice of carefully selected restaurants. Hotel Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten B L D

DAY 5: Munich/Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Drive along the "Romantic Road" with a stop in Dinkelsbühl before continuing to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Wander through the Imperial City Museum and visit Gothic 14th-century St. Jacob's Church. Dine at your hotel this evening. Hotel Eisenhut B L D

DAY 6: Rothenburg ob der Tauber/ Nuremberg/Leipzig
Explore Nuremberg's Old Town, including the market square, the Imperial Castle and the Church of St. Lorenz. Attend a private concert at the German National Museum before continuing to Leipzig. Dine this evening at your hotel. Hotel Fürstenhof B L D

DAY 7: Leipzig
Discover Leipzig: the church of St. Nicholas, the Old Town Hall, the Bach Museum and the Thomaskirche. After lunch, your afternoon is at leisure. Dine à la carte at one of a group of carefully selected restaurants. Hotel Fürstenhof B L D

DAY 8: Leipzig/Meissen/Dresden

DAY 9: Dresden
Explore Dresden, known as the "Florence of the North.' Visit the Semper Opera House and the Zwinger Palace's collection of Old Masters and priceless objets d'art. DAY 10: Dresden/Berlin
Take a train to Berlin, and after lunch visit the Reichstag, the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Victory Column and Charlottenburg Palace. Dine à la carte at your hotel. Hotel de Rome B L D

DAY 11: Berlin
A poignant journey to the former East Berlin shows you the Alexanderplatz, the "Red City Hall" and the Brandenburg Gate. See the East Side Gallery and Checkpoint Charlie. Lunch is at your leisure, and then Design your Day: visit the Pergamon Museum or explore Berlin's Jewish quarter. This evening join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner. Hotel de Rome B D

DAY 12: Berlin/Potsdam/Berlin
Travel to Sanssouci Palace, Frederick the Great's summer palace, and to Cecilienhof Palace, site of the Potsdam Conference of 1945. After an afternoon at leisure, join fellow travelers for farewell drinks at your hotel. Hotel de Rome B L
