HIGHLIGHTS OF SLOVENIA & CROATIA ITINERARY:

DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Ljubljana, Slovenia
Depart on an overnight flight to Ljubljana and on arrival transfer to your hotel. Gather for a welcome drink followed by dinner. Grand Hotel Union D

DAY 3: Ljubljana/Lake Bled/Ljubljana
Explore Ljubljana's historic old town. After lunch, continue to Lake Bled, with its picture-postcard setting and looming alpine peaks. Visit medieval Bled Castle and take a boat trip to the islet set in the middle of the lake. Grand Hotel Union B L

DAY 4: Ljubljana/Postojna Caves/Ljubljana
Travel to the cathedral-like Postojna caves. Return to Ljubljana where the remainder of the day is at leisure. This evening dine à la carte at one of a carefully selected choice of restaurants. Grand Hotel Union B D

DAY 5: Ljubljana/Zagreb
After lunch in Zagreb, stroll through the Upper Town to see the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Parliament Buildings, the President's Palace and lively Josep Jelasis Square. DAY 6: Zagreb/Split
Fly to the seaport of Split, where after lunch you visit the Palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Later, dine à la carte at your hotel. Le Méridien Lav B L D

DAY 7: Split/Trogir/Split
Travel to the walled citadel of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. See the glorious 13th-century Venetian cathedral and wander the city's old streets and waterfront. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Le Méridien Lav B

DAY 8: Split/Hvar/Dubrovnik
Visit the island of Hvar, whose town center was built by the Doges during the Venetian marine empire. Explore the town square, the medieval Franciscan monastery of Our Lady of Grace and the 17th-century theater. Later, return to the mainland and drive along the spectacular Dalmatian coast to the walled citadel of Dubrovnik. Dine à la carte at your hotel. Grand Hotel Villa Argentina B D

DAY 9: Dubrovnik
Explore Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on foot. The afternoon is at leisure. Grand Hotel Villa Argentina B L D

DAY 10: Dubrovnik/Montenegro/ Dubrovnik
Drive to the independent state of Montenegro and visit Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through its historic center, with architectural treasures that include the 12th-century Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Gothic Drago Palace and Renaissance Pima Palace. Then travel to Budva for lunch and a walk around town. Return to Dubrovnik for farewell drinks at your hotel. Grand Hotel Villa Argentina B L
