MOSELLE RIVER:
SATURDAY
Meet in Frankfurt and transfer to 'Charlemagne' for a welcome
reception.
SUNDAY
Cruise to the riverside town of Cochem. Later, enjoy a
tasting of regional wines.
MONDAY
Charming villages punctuate the vineyards along today's
cruise route, which includes a visit to the small town of
Bernkastel-Kues.
TUESDAY
After a beautiful morning cruise, tour the ancient Roman
city of Trier in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY
Cruise to Remich in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with an
excursion to Nenning.
THURSDAY
Arrive in Metz today and visit its Cathedral of
Saint-Etienne, renowned for its stained glass.
FRIDAY
After breakfast, return to the hotel in Frankfurt where your
tour ends.
NECKAR & RHINE RIVERS
SATURDAY
Meet in Frankfurt and transfer to 'Charlemagne' in Bad
Wimpfen for a welcome reception.
SUNDAY
Walk along the winding streets of Bad Wimpfen before a
cruise to the pretty town of Eberbach.
MONDAY
Visit the Michelstadt, then travel the romantic road of
Odenwald and cruise to Heidelberg.
TUESDAY
After a guided tour of Heidelberg, cruise to Worms, an
imperial city on the Rhine.
WEDNESDAY
Past the Roman city of Mainz, the river flows through famous
vineyards to Rudesheim where the spirited Drosselgasse affords
evening entertainments.
THURSDAY
Cruise past the mythical Rock Lorelei to Koblenz for a
guided tour.
FRIDAY
After breakfast, return to the hotel in Frankfurt where your
tour ends. Note: These routes are run in reverse on alternate
weeks.
