SIGNATURE KENYA ITINERARY:
DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Nairobi, Kenya
On arrival in Nairobi you are met and transferred to the
historic Norfolk Hotel.

DAY 3: Nairobi/Samburu
Fly to the Samburu Game Reserve, arriving in time for a
leisurely lunch at your camp. Set on lush lawns by the bank of
the Uaso Nyiro River, Larsen's Camp welcomes you in casual,
colonial style. The spacious, airy, raised tents stand on wooden
platforms, each one comfortably furnished.

DAY 4: Samburu
Early morning game drives are the perfect time to witness the
abundant wildlife awakening for their breakfast. In addition to
elephant, buffalo and rhino, you have an opportunity to spot
some species unique to Kenya's Northern Frontier District,
including the "Special Five:" reticulated giraffe, thin-striped
Grevy's zebra, majestic beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the
graceful "giraffe-necked" gerenuk antelope, which stands on its
hind legs to feed. Samburu is also an excellent photographic
area. Return to your camp for lunch and a brief rest before
setting out on an afternoon game drive.

DAY 5: Samburu/Chyulu Hills
Board a private charter flight to the Chyulu Hills (the
Green Hills of Africa of Ernest Hemingway). Transfer to Campi Ya
Kanzi, on the panoramic ridge with spectacular views of the
giant snow-dome of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp is both a
beautiful wildlife-viewing retreat and a pioneering eco-tourism
destination, run in partnership with the local Maasai community.

DAY 6: Chyulu Hills
Experience an authentic African safari from some of the many
options available to you during your stay. From bush drives with
professional guides, escorted game walks, forest walks, Chyulu
National Park excursions, bird watching or a cultural visit to
Masai villages, there's never a shortage of activities. View the
efforts made to preserve the unspoiled African bush with a visit
to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust projects.

DAY 7: Chyulu Hills/Nairobi/Masai Mara
Board a flight to the Masai Mara, the Kenyan portion of the
great Serengeti ecosystem, catching first sight of the herds as
you circle to land. Arrive and settle in at your luxury camp
idyllically nestled in the heart of Kenya's big game country.

DAYS 8-9: Masai Mara
Spend two days on safari in one of the greatest natural wonders
of the world.

** Between game drives, learn about Olonana's conservation
efforts. Perhaps plant an indigenous tree in a special "tree
nursery," or observe efforts to preserve the Mara's endangered
wetlands.
DAY 10: Masai Mara/Nairobi/USA or Canada
Leave the Mara for your flight to Nairobi where you are taken to
