DAY 5: Laikipia Plateau/Nanyuki
This morning, drive up the lower slopes of Mount Kenya and visit
Nanyuki Spinners & Weavers. This women's self-help project was
started to train poor, widowed and single women living in the
surrounding villages of Nanyuki to become self-sufficient
through the craft of spinning, knitting and weaving. Nanyuki
town was targeted because it is one of the major wool producing
areas in Kenya with its weather being favorable for sheep
rearing and raising.
Later, drive to the world famous Mount Kenya Safari Club,
arriving in time for lunch with the rest of the afternoon at
leisure for optional activities. Mount Kenya Safari Club is
steeped in colonial history, with a past as colorful as its
magnificent gardens.

DAY 7: Nanyuki /Masai Mara Game
Today you fly across Kenya's unparalleled terrain to the Masai
Mara, one of the great natural wonders of the world. The jewel
in Africa's crown, the Mara is host to the most spectacular
array of wildlife.
Following lunch, enjoy your first game drive in the land of the
Maasai. Game viewing is never dull in the Mara, and patience is
often rewarded with unique sightings such as a pride of lion
stalking their prey, a solitary leopard retrieving its kill from
the high branches of an acacia tree, a male wildebeest sparring
to attract females into its harem, or even a herd of elephant
protecting their young from opportunistic predators. As well as
wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the
colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the
park - morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys
herding goats or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters
of the day. Exclusive A&K Mobile Tented Camp B L D
DAYS 8-9: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend two exciting days driving across the limitless plains on
morning and afternoon game drives, searching for the Masai
Mara's abundant game. Running along the Tanzanian border, the
Mara forms an essential part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Here
lies the destination of the annual wildebeest migration, where
more than one million wildebeest, accompanied by zebra and
gazelle, stampede north to graze the Mara's lush grasses.
In the Mara River, crocodile bask in the sun and hippo wallow in
the muddy water as monkeys frolic overhead. It seems as though
the wildlife here is without limits. Elephant roam the forest
edge, giraffe survey the plains. And you drive through it all in
vehicles that can take you up close in comfort and safety.
Gather tonight with your fellow travellers for a special
farewell dinner.

coffee estate and is located in an attractive residential area
west of Nairobi.
Following lunch, you have the option of paying a visit to the
Karen Blixen house, made famous by the film Out of Africa. The
house contains some of Karen's own possessions as well as some
props, which were presented to the house after the filming of
the movie. Outside, stroll through a lovely garden with fabulous
views of the Ngong Hills, and see the original millstone tables
from which Karen conducted so much of her farm business.
