EAST AFRICA: A FAMILY ADVENTURE ITINERARY:
DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Nairobi, Kenya
Depart by overnight flight to Nairobi and transfer to your

DAY 3: Nairobi/Ol Pejeta Ranch
Begin your adventure with a drive to the Ol Pejeta Ranch at
the foot of Mount Kenya. After lunch go on your fi rst game
drive and visit the chimpanzee and rhino sanctuary. Sweetwaters

DAY 4: Ol Pejeta/Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast, travel to the semi-arid bush country of the
Samburu Game Reserve. On an afternoon game drive look for
elephant and unique northern species such as reticulated
giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra and the long-necked gerenuk.

DAY 5: Samburu Game Reserve
See more of Samburu's typical species, including the Somali
ostrich, and visit a traditional Samburu village. Samburu

DAY 6: Samburu/Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly to the land of the Maasai, a cattleherding people still
proudly traditional in their way of life, and arrive at your
tented camp beside a sweeping bend in the Talek River. Mara

DAYS 7-8: Masai Mara
Spend two days in this magnificent savannah country, home to
Kenya's most varied animal populations. In addition to game
drives, visit a Maasai village to learn about tribal home life.

DAY 9: Masai Mara/Nairobi/Arusha, Tanzania
Fly to Nairobi. Those who selected the Kenya-only itinerary
can see some of the city and relax in a dayroom until tonight's
departure fl ight. Those on the full East Africa program

DAY 10: Arusha/Ngorongoro Crater
Search for birds during a morning canoe trip on Lake Duluti.
After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, formed by the

DAY 11: Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the crater floor, home to the endangered black

DAY 12: Ngorongoro Crater/Serengeti National Park
Travel to the grasslands of Serengeti National Park for an
afternoon game drive to view the local animal and birdlife.

DAY 13: Serengeti
Spend the day on the plains of the Serengeti searching for
herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, lion and cheetah. Serengeti

Return to Nairobi to board your international flight.
