Day 1 - Hamburg, GermanyCheck-in to the
Hotel Kempinski Atlantic Hamburg, a luxury landmark for discerning travelers for nearly 100 years. After time to refresh, join your personal guide for a private walking tour in this enchanting city. Founded by Charlemagne more than 1,000 years ago, this Elbe River port rose to Medieval wealth and glory as a powerful member of the Hanseatic League. Today, it’s a chic and sophisticated city laced with canals, lakes and bridges.
Day 2 - HamburgSet at the mouth of the Elbe, one of Europe’s greatest rivers, and just 60 miles from the North Sea, the city of Hamburg was a major gateway for European emigration from the late 1800’s into the middle of the last century. Thousands of soon-to-be Americans began their voyage to the New World at BallinStadt, a way station for emigrants awaiting departure on the ships of the Hamburg-American Line, known widely as Hapag. Today, BallinStadt is home to a fascinating museum that explores the drama and history of European emigration to America and beyond. This morning, you’ll enjoy a self-guided exploration of the BallinStadt Emigration Museum, a mirror image, of sorts, to Ellis Island.
Your afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own in this inviting, easy-to-get-around city. Your included Hamburg Transportation Card makes it free! Meals B
Day 3 - Hamburg / BerlinAfter breakfast, your private car and driver await to escort you to the rail station. Board your first class train for Berlin #WHS#, where your guide is on hand to transfer you by private car to the historic
