Next, follow the historical figure, Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich, and hear tales about the "white gold" that turned the medieval town of Salzburg into a great baroque city.

Hellbrunn Castle:  Roam through one of the most magical royal estates ever built. Reality and fantasy collide in this historic palace adorned with centuries-old surprises. Streams of water erupt from the most unexpected places with trick fountains. Ornate grottos lead to animated vignettes of mythological events powered by hidden water works. Most captivating of all, a theater filled with 141 mechanical figurines must be seen to be believed! Then, enjoy lunch on the castle grounds.

              FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the climate like?
During the summer months, the weather in the Czech Republic and Austria is warm, with high temperatures averaging 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the day, and dropping down to 50 degrees at night.

How strenuous are the activities?
While this adventure is not considered physically strenuous, most days will include two or more hours of city walking, often on uneven cobblestone streets. While nearly all of the trip's featured activities are gentle if examined separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most of your vacation.

What ages are appropriate for this adventure?
While we welcome children ages 4 and up at the time of travel to discover the stories of the world with us, we recommend that children be at least 6 years old at the time of travel on our Storybook Kingdoms trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, extended hours of daily activity programming and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking) involved. Because each child is different, call a Concierge Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your little ones
